Work Placement: Eagle House (SEN) School January 2016 – On going I worked with Special Needs students who have autistic or learning difficulties. My role was to assist the specialist teachers during the lesson. This requires me to support small numbers of students improving the language, mathematics, other subjects and life skills. I was also required to go on visits to various local venues and assist the care of the students.

ESOL Departman Young Learners 16-18 age group. Pre-Entry and Entry 1. I supported students with low level English as a second language. I assisted the teachers in working with named students who required more attention than others. I designed my own resources and task sheets which were used to support all students of varied levels of English. In some cases I helped students understand the alphabet and pronunciation of letters. I am bilingual in English and Turkish which has become very useful with students who only speak Turkish and have a basic level of English. I have used my experience in media to help support my students on many occasions. For example, recording their progress throughout the academic year.
