- Communities for Change project aimed at reducing school dropout rates among girls through mentoring and fight against child marriages in rural communities through family, school and community engagement. - Offered scholarships to girls who are at risk of dropping out of school - Provided a family skills maker space for various activities such as sewing, crafting, gardening and many more to girls, women and caregivers to equip them with skills in order for them to be able to provide for their families. - Facilitated stakeholder engagement meetings with traditional leaders in relation to ending early child marriages. - Facilitated an all-girls weekly mentoring sessions on key life skills which include Sexual Reproductive Health, HIV related topics, Gender, Menstrual Hygiene, Self-awareness to mention but a few. - Conducted community mobilization and Outreach programs to sensitize the community on the consequences of child marriages and the importance of girl child education - Oversaw various activities that took place at the library which include Literacy lessons, book club activities, story time, family Literacy for young mother's, shelving books and proof reading. - Coordinated meetings and worked hand in hand with the Anti GBV secretariat which comprised of 11 traditional leaders including the two senior chiefs to come up with community led solutions to end child marriage. - Retrieved more than 10 girls from early child marriages so of which were part of the comprehensive scholarship program. - Conducted monitoring and evaluation activities to access the impact of the project through the administering of baseline and and end-line questions with the M & E officer - Wrote weekly and monthly report which were submitted to the Head Office.
