Bio
Rachael Fay
I have worked together for two years with Esmael teaching undergraduate chemistry laboratories at UZH. Esmael is highly knowledgable and took a keen interest in his teaching role. Esmael was always very patient with students and eager to help with their understanding of lab skills and chemical theory. Outside of this teaching role, Esmael is a strongly motivated researcher with broad skills in microscopy and surface chemistry amongst others. I have attended seminars of Esmael's research and it is clear that he is an effective and enthusiastic communicator. Esmael is also a strong team player and is always willing to offer helpful solutions and to collaborate on projects. Lastly Esmael is an open and friendly colleague who has a particularly sociable character. I have no doubt that Esmael would quickly integrate into a new team in his future endeavours.

Having worked with Esmael on a number of occasions, he has always been approachable, professional and extremely helpful. Esmael is very friendly and willing to help out, having assisted me in obtaining measurements. He is clearly very knowledgeable and holds excellent technical skills. Esmael has a strong research background with expertise in electron microscopy methods, electrochemistry, solid-state chemistry, and surface characterization techniques in operational conditions with a broad skill set covering advanced synchrotron-based in-situ electrochemical XAS methods, in-situ electrochemical liquid HRTEM, in-situ heating PXRD, Raman, SEM, XPS, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). Esmael is always excited about being part of a successful team and supporting colleagues. He has a creative and flexible professional character who embraces teamwork in international environments. I have no doubt that Esmael would be a fantastic asset to any team he joins in his future career.
