Austin, Texas Area Designed inter-satellite radio communication scheme including data packet structure, handshake protocol, and error checking in C++ for the RACE satellite. The RACE satellite was developed for the Jet Propulsion Laboratory’s Interplanetary NanoSpacecraft Pathfinder In Relevant Environment (INSPIRE) Project to carry a 1.5U JPL-developed radiometer payload. The instrument was designed to measure signals of water vapor in the 183 GHz spectrum in order to create atmospheric profiles.
