Nach einer Berufslehre als Konditor-Confiseur in Zug arbeitete er im elterlichen Betrieb. 1999 trat er in den Dienst der Päpstlichen Schweizergarde, heute im Dienst eines Wachtmeisters. Né en 1978, le sergent Erwin Niederberger a grandi à Küssnacht am Rigi dans un établissement hôtelier géré par sa famille depuis des générations. Après son apprentissage de pâtissier confiseur à Zoug, il a travaillé au sein de l’entreprise familiale. En 1999, il est entré dans la garde suisse pontificale où il sert actuellement avec le grade de sergent. Il sergente Erwin Niederberger, nato nel 1978, è cresciuto in un albergo a Küsnacht al Rigi che viene gestito già da tre generazioni dalla sua famiglia. Dopo un apprendistato come pasticcere a Zug, ha lavorato nell'azienda di famiglia. Nel 1999 entra al servizio della Guardia Svizzera Pontificia e oggi è al servizio di un sergente. Show less

  INTRODUCTION A cookbook with the Pontifical Swiss Guard? What has the one to do with the other? That was my first reaction when I heard the surprising proposal for a Swiss Guard Vatican Cookbook. It was rather quickly that I realized that this had the makings of a very special project. A Swiss Guard book had been in the works for years, beginning with the concept for a modest publication to promulgate the Swiss Guard story.
