• Responsible for all phases of interpretive projects, from conception to installation. Projects ranged in scope from one-off wayside panels to visitor center exhibit halls to complete overhauls of an entire site's interpretation. Products included interpretive wayside panels, brochures, 3-D static exhibits, tactiles and hands-on components, and audio-visual installations. • Tasked with assessing state parks' and historic sites' current interpretation, identifying and prioritizing their interpretive needs, and proposing a suite of interpretive products that effectively met both agency staff's and the public's needs. • Effectively assembled and led interdisciplinary teams of stakeholders on interpretive projects, including content specialists, designers, affinity groups and operational staff, and coordinated their contributions through all phases of interpretive projects. Forums included face-to-face planning sessions, public input meetings, and collaborative online project management forums. • Wrote engaging and informative interpretive text designed to connect visitors with the stories that places and objects have to tell. Balanced the need for accuracy and depth with the desire to engage and educate visitors without overwhelming them. • Acquired intriguing supporting graphic assets and objects, and collaborated with designers to ensure that exhibits' flow and graphic identity supported the interpretive goals of the exhibit. • Oversaw contracts with outside firms for the design development, fabrication and installation of multiple projects at once.
