Erin acted as office technician in an office setting as well as in the field as a consultant for the Department of Water Resources. Up until mid-December 2012, Erin worked in the Sacramento office as an aide for the successful execution of multiple construction projects. This involved processing incoming and outgoing documents, tracking all documents received and sent by the construction office, filing, working with contractors, and any other tasks requested of Erin in order to ensure the smooth flow of each project. In December 2012, Erin was assigned to a similar position at a water pumping plant in Oroville, where she took daily meeting minutes and maintained organized records of reports, equipment, personnel on site, construction memorandums, and a plethora of other documents that were crucial to have available and updated on a regular basis. • Book and Periodical Publishing
    • Contributing Writer
      • Apr 2011 - Nov 2011

Erin was a freelance writer and wrote numerous articles for various topics in each month’s issue of the magazine. Duties included either calling sources or going out into the field in order to conduct interviews with sources who could contribute to the idea of each article. Each article assigned came with great flexibility and room for creativity and originality. However, as with all types of journalism, working at the magazine demanded the ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines for articles. And although the magazine came out monthly, certain articles were needed several months prior to the run date, which required much organization and planning. The position also required locating photos for the layouts, which sometimes involved working with large companies in order to obtain the necessary photos and information. Show less
