Community Development Coordinator

Jan 2014 - May 2015
In January 2014 I took up the opportunity to broaden my experience in the community development field and develop my skills managing staff. In this position I was responsible for ensuring the community development team was responsive to community expectations, and embraced and fostered new ideas to continually improve the services provided. The main focus was to strengthen the capacity of community organisations, strengthen networks between key community organisations and enhance relationships between the City and the Cockburn community. This was particularly important while the Local Government Reform process transpired. Strong links with community, Executive Management and Elected Members was essential.
