Camp Carysbrook fosters an empowering environment for young girls and women, and my experiences at there fundamentally shaped my understanding of leadership, collaboration, and community. Professional development programs completed: Counselor In Training (CIT 2017); Worker In Training (WIT 2018) Summer 2019, I joined the leadership team as Evening Program Coordinator. In this role, I prepared, organized, and executed the nightly activities for the 150 person camp throughout the 7-week summer. Other responsibilities included delegating responsibilities to and overseeing fellow staff members, communicating with the Director, managing inventory for the programs, and mentoring an apprentice to take over the role the following summer.
