• Since departing my position with Plantier Developments NZ Ltd. I have been taking on freelance marketing contracts. • From January to May of this year I worked with Nelson based freeze dried food company Absolute Wilderness creating all of their social media content. The aim was to begin to build brand awareness for their food products outside of the adventure racing community, using social media strategies to build a broader consumer base. • I had the privilege of working with Rachel Eggers at Bayley’s Real Estate to help launch her career in Nelson. Rachel and I worked together to create her branding, her website and her social media presence. One of the strategies utilised was a market survey sent to 10 000 home owners in our community. Upon completion of the survey each participant was entered into a draw to win a host of attractive, local, products. In addition to designing the survey, I directed Rachel to local businesses to source prizes that would be in line with her branding by associating her name and brand with her targeted market group. • Most recently I was offered a contract in my native Canada, with my former employer Annerin Productions. I was brought on board in May to oversee marketing plans for over 100 performances across North America of a musical entitled: ‘We Will Rock You,’ based on the music of well known, British rock group Queen. In addition I provided to Annerin brand and marketing direction for a rock music summer festival, by hiring a social media team, creating brand and marketing materials, finalising advertising media purchasing decisions, while managing a $60 000.00 marketing budget for the event. I was responsible for producing a yearly marketing strategy for each financial year. I audit other skincare and beauty brands, seek out relevant market research and formulate unique campaigns to create more brand awareness for Plantae Certified Organic Skincare in the New Zealand market. Most notably launching Plantae’s brand ambassadorship with New Zealand supermodel, and health and wellness influencer Rachel Hunter #authenticallybeautiful. I am credited as the concept creator and executive producer of all materials made in relation to this campaign. . This campaign was strategically advertised on social media channels, using the creative assets made to extend Plantae’s brand awareness with New Zealand based females, ages 30 – 40. The campaign has received upwards of 100 000 unique impressions from Plantae’s target sales demographic. Directed the re-branding of Plantae in 2017, with updated sales and marketing materials. Providing all written copy, including but not limited to; the brand story, product descriptions, blog posts, sales guides, brochures and other brand marketing and sales assets. This re-branding saw a focus on a more concise target demographic, creating a social media presence, and brand ambassador relationships with online influencers. I decide upon the hiring of all external third parties required to carry out our marketing initiatives; social media strategists, web designers, and varying other contractors. I travel throughout New Zealand to different stockists conducting product knowledge sessions with sales associates and management. I create the presentation format and comprehensive sales incentives programs to build stronger relationships with our stockists. Plantae has seen 50% growth domestically year over year since I began my tenure. I directly report to our CEO and board of directors on marketing campaigns, their results and am solely responsible for the generation of all sales and business development in New Zealand. Show less
