I liked to incorporate technology and having my students use their current 21st century thinking skills. My small class size allowed me to differentiate instruction and meet the needs of each individual student. I strongly believe in my student's multiple intelligences and individual learning styles. I aimed to create lessons that were influenced by Bloom's Taxonomy and Howard Gardner's theories. I loved teaching from a project-based learning perspective, as this allowed my students to be fully engaged and the learn from hands-on experiences. I also favor lessons that are student-centered over the traditional teacher-centered classrooms. My lessons were based on the curriculum that I created for both preschools. These lessons included: - Montessori Skills -Printing Skills (Handwriting Without Tears) - Nancy Fetzer's Directed Writing Lessons - Author and Artists of the Month - Country of the Month -Spanish Themed Vocabulary -Science Themes - Early Childhood Safety -Family and Community Themes -Virtues of the Month Show less
