  I maintained communication with family members of the residents and staff through email, phone, and social media outlets. I was responsible for designing, editing, and distributing a resident written monthly newsletter and program calendar. While designing the newsletter, I also planned, advertised and promoted, and implemented events and programs for our facility residents and staff. Including facility wide singing competitions, an annual classic car show and bbqs.i am also responsible for 'outings' within the community for both high and low functioning residents to places such as; Restaruant's, Casino's, Store trips (Wal-mart, local mall, Dollar Tree), Concerts, Movie theaters, shows, Sporting events, seasonal bus rides and parades to name a few. While adapting recreational pursuits to fit the limitations of residents, i also provided one on one visits, range of motion, and sensory stimulation events for lower functioning residents. I always tried to engage the residents in fun and functional programs that the residents enjoyed participating in. Even adapting the recreational pursuits of our residents to fit the limitations of the residents.
