Contribute to strengthening and accelerating UNFPA’s humanitarian & emergency response - especially in Sexual & Reproductive Health & gender-based violence programming as a member of the Global Emergency (Surge) Roster. On standby to be deployed to affected countries within 48 - 72 hours of the onset of crisis. As Sexual and Reproductive Health in Emergencies (SRHiE) Coordinator/Specialist, promote Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) services in crises, recovery and post crises situations; facilitate the procurement and delivery of emergency medical supplies and equipment; plan and conduct orientations on SRH related issues (including reproductive, maternal and newborn health, family planning information and services, STIs and HIV prevention, care and treatment, and care for survivors of sexual and gender-based violence). Coordinate and actively participate in health cluster coordination meetings, and assist in resource mobilization, establishing relevant partnerships with other humanitarian stakeholders, Non-Govermental Organizations (NGOs), donors and government counterparts. Provide guidance on the establishment of comprehensive SRH services once the situation in country stabilizes.
