MSc thesis project in collaboration with the Department of Biomedical Engineering LTH, Microbial Ecology LU, and the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture, Kenya. Using microfluidic technology to investigate the microbial ecosystem in agricultural soil and the effect of biochar-enrichment. Combining high-tech nanotechnology research with small scale agriculture in rural Kenya. Awarded several scholarships to fund the project, including the Minor Field Study scholarship administrated by The Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida). Thesis title: Microbial ecosystem analysis of biochar-enriched soil in Kenya using microfluidic soil models.

Summer Engineering Intern

Summer Engineering Intern at the Research & Innovation Department. Planned and executed tests to gather data for a novel sensor technique. I then analyzed the data and optimized the sensor using signal processing tools in MATLAB. We were highly successful, and we are awaiting patent approval (WO2022008213A1).
