Our team is responsible for a global €8 billion corporate and sovereign debt portfolio. This portfolio is one of Keva’s higher risk-return portfolios as most investments are sub-investment grade by credit quality. We invest broadly in leveraged finance, covering high yield bonds, leveraged loans, emerging market sovereign and corporate debt as well as securitized instruments. We invest into these areas through carefully selected external asset managers. For us, investing is distant from the flashy show of speed, noise and frequent trading. Most of our time is spent researching and creating independent viewpoints through reading, reflection and discussion. We are committed to our fiduciary duty; we foster high standards and professionalism in everything we do. As part of my role, I’m a member of Keva’s Investment Committee, Responsible Investment Committee as well as Investment Operations Committee.

    • Senior Portfolio Manager (prior: Portfolio Manager), External Fixed Income
      • May 2009 - May 2020

Keva’s External FI team was founded in Spring 2009 to focus on outsourced, higher yielding fixed income investments globally. I was involved from the very start. In a decade, we grew from nearly zero assets into a strategically important multi-billion portfolio, with a distinct investment philosophy and a best-in-class operating model. During this start-up journey, our team travelled across the globe to hand-pick the best asset managers in the world. During this start-up journey, our team travelled across the globe to hand-pick the best asset managers in the world. We researched and adopted best practises in various dimensions. Personally, I learned to coordinate demanding due diligence processes and to lead complex, strategically important projects.
