Vetus develops and produces technical products for pleasure crafts. Typical Vetus products are Vetus main engines, bowthrusters, anchorwindlasses and hatches. But not only this are Vetus products. All needed parts to make a complete technical boat system work are part of the delivery program. As Quality Manager I am responsible for keeping the quality of the Vetus products on a high standard and coordinate the activities required to meet the ISO9001 quality standard. I liaise with other managers and staff throughout the organization to ensure that the quality management system is functioning properly and Vetus products are up to standard. To keep the high quality standard for Vetus products, products are inspected and judged to determine if they meet the product specifications. This can be at Vetus but also at our factories. Reports and worldwide market information about quality issues are judged and needed actions are determined for the Vetus organization and supplier. Show less

But not only this are Vetus products. All needed parts to make a complete technical boat systems work are part of the delivery program. As technical consultant I am responsible to handle technical questions of our foreign distributors and private customers. I am also responsible for judging and handling warranty claims. So now and then I visit foreign distributors and customers to judge, report and handle the warranty claim. The target is always to keep the customer and Vetus happy about the handling of the warranty claim. Another part of the job is to check and judge goods that appear to have more failures than acceptable. A report about the number of failures and reason for failures is made. The reports are discussed with the management, purchase department and R&D department in order to find solutions for the failures and product claims. The same happens for new products that have deviations to the specification. The target is to keep the quality standard high. Show less

Dotec Tilhulpen designs, builds and sells custom made lifting system for weights up to 80 kg. By the changed health and safety regulations that forbid employees to lift more than 25 kg on regular bases the demand for these systems increased spectacular. My first task was to streamline the sales process with standards for products, offers, service contracts etcetera. Another task was to communicate with the engineering department and the workshop about the production planning and delivery times. In the sales process I gave practical demonstrations in the showroom and presentations for potential customers. The demands of the customers were translated to offers for the custom made installations. Because of the spectacular growth of the company the management had to decide to move the company. Unfortunately the company moved to a place too far from my address to keep joining the company. Show less

At Telecom I started as Sales Engineer of tube mail systems for the physical transport of documents, samples, cash money etcetera. An very important group of customers were the hospitals where they use technically very complicated tube mail systems for the transport of patient dossiers, but also for the transport of blood and urine samples to the laboratory. After 3,5 years I was also responsible for the project management tasks when the tube mail system was actually build. Together with the head mechanics of the installations teams I managed the projects and visited the meetings at the construction sites. Show less
