The Microsoft Digital Crimes Unit (DCU) is a Microsoft sponsored team of international legal and internet security experts employing the latest tools and technologies to stop or interfere with cybercrime and cyber threats. As an Analyst in the DCU one of my main functions was to analyze the data collected by Microsoft from various sources, look at patterns that the data reveal and work out the best way to deal with any current threat or identify new cybercrime methods that may affect Microsoft directly, or affect their customers.These findings will then be presented in either a PowerBI or PowerPoint format to the DCU attorneys to take the appropriate legal action.
