In the past Cyberlan has imported HEAT (service management), Goldmine (CRM), isiCad (cable management and architecture), Microstation (CAD) and Cimage (Document management system). Cyberlan has developed Comma'NT a physical, graphical infrastructure documentation and changeplanning system for physical network management. Cyberlan has daughter companies with 55 employees in Belgium and Germany that distribute its products. Futhermore CyberLan has developed the isiSolutions suite of workflow driven applications containing crm, helpdesk, change management, cmdb, logistics and facility management. In 2004 foreign operations were closed down, because of the downfall in the IT business. As a result of the migration of Efficy in various European countries (Belgium, Netherlands, France, Switserland, Germany and Luxembourg) the projects departments will be integrated, resulting in a fast growing group of project workers of more than 50. The project director manages 8 project-teams that operate as 'cells' of 5-8 people with their own expertise. The mission is to increase project profitability, employee satisfaction and more awareness of what a created solution means for a customer.The Efficy Development Method (EFDM) is being developed and has to be implemented early 2015 causing a more structured approach and a base for continuous improvement.This temporary job has been terminated. Billiton was bought by Gencor (South African mining company) from Shell and in order to enable the separation of Billiton IT systems from the Shell infrastructure several information and networktopology studies were conducted. The service unit has 40 employees and 20 contractors that advise on infrastuctrural and IT-systems projects in Shell Netherlands and is responsible for a computernetwork with 3.000 users on 100 different locations in the Netherlands. A project portfolio of 150-odd projects (amongst which many topological projects) are the continuous workload. On top of that the helpdesk is part of my unit. An ITIL-compliant change management system has been implemented to enable the organisation to make a change from product oriented into service oriented thinking, which caused a staff-reduction of 50%. A reorganisation was carried out, causing a 60% reduction of the number of employees. This has been done by making a service-oriented organisation from a fragmented product-organisation with a transparent cost-strcucture. Using ITIL (which was new in those times) and an advance graphical asset management system with workflows was essential for the success of the reorganisation. The involved employees were enthousiastic about the changes that have empowered them. The internal marketing of the renewed services has lead to a better understanding of the 'Cost-of-Ownership' of It-services and IT-means, causing large benefits.As a spin-off IT-services and facility management have merged their servies into an integrated service-catalog which radiated to the entire organisation. The wireline services department of Schlumberger does downhole logging on wellsites in open and cased holes and analysis of the the logged data in order to find producable oil and gas reservoires. Logging is conducted together with a 4 person crew on remote wellsites with a special cable truck (CyberUnit) containing redundant DEC VAX computersystems. Handling heavy secundary explosives, neutronsources, blowout prevention equipment, H2S dectection and advanced electronic and mechanical downhole logging-equipment is part of the job which may last from 4 to 72 hours without a single pause. Downhole measurements comprise gammaray-, shallow and deep resistivity-, neutron collision-, sampling-, borehole size-, directional-, borehole fluid-, stuckpoint indication- and sound measurements that are logged and interpreted with the aid of special tooling operated and monitored under my responsibility. In cased holes cementing evaluation, setting plugs and shooting of casing in boreholes were part of the job. Show less

A small machine factory has been set up with an excenter press, folding machine and various other machinery to produce all kinds of brackets for motorcycles with one employee. Hasto also acted as a distributor towards motorcycle vendors for striping, paint, sound helmets, rainsuits and anti-theft-equipment.
