During my graduation internship I conducted research into optimizing the entire worldwide Supply Chain of Swiss Sense. From the moment of sale to the delivery of the great Swiss Sense products.We worked together with all internal departments to map out the full Supply Chain process and determine which bottlenecks were experienced. In order to validate these bottlenecks, we started monitoring the process and we physically examined all steps and determined whether the actual process corresponds with the conceived process.Based on the Lean Six Sigma method, we assessed which bottlenecks have the most impact and, in collaboration with specialists, we issued advice on how to resolve the bottlenecks.This research ultimately resulted in various optimization projects and process adjustments, and perhaps more importantly, it laid the foundation for my next position. This knowledge made it easier to bridge the gap between the new e-commerce processes and the existing one. Show less

After my first encounter with online marketing and online and offline sales at the end of 2013, my interest was aroused and my passion was born: developing and implementing new online business models.As Swiss Sense, we saw a gap in the market for a new business model in which we could start offering ordered today, delivered tomorrow for mattresses. A unique proposition in 2015 that no other retailer was offering. We redefined the complete process and implemented them so that we could serve the customer optimally.Ultimately, we laid the foundation to translate this into all 100 stores, resulting in strong growth in the mattresses category.This is the moment when I learned how important strategy is and how to ensure that you involve people to work together towards an end goal.
