Manage testing center where about 400 students utilize their testing accommodations each semester. Communicate with students and their professors to ensure accommodations are being met. Provide support for students and faculty when issues of accessibility or confidentiality arise. Keep up to date on accessibility best practices and follow disabilities laws such as the ADA and Section 504. Develop monthly awareness campaigns highlighting different disabilities. Create additional handouts 3-4 times a year highlighting our office resources and support available through other departments. Oversee implementation of assistive technology for students, which has included: Read&Write, Glean, Present Pal, and Reader Pens. Also create guides for these and other assistive technologies. Assist the director with updating department webpages and documentation, giving presentations, collaborating with other departments, and supporting students as a coach and mentor.
