Teaching Assistant (English)

Interned as an English teacher assistant for five weeks at the Instituto Pertini of Trento, Italy (through AIESEC ‘eduChange’ Global Community Development Programme). During this period I organised and carried out a total of 115 lessons for 15 different classes, in two technical high schools, under the supervision of each class’ English teacher. The students ranged from aged 14 to 19. The aim was to stimulate the students’ curiosity about different cultures and to have students interact in English. The lessons were performed in English, and the preparation of the teaching materials included the use of videos and PowerPoint presentations, targeting at the students’ level of English in order to prompt and maintain students’ attention. Except for the visual teaching materials; questions, games and interactive activities took place in order to encourage students to take active part in the class, speak in English and enhance their communicative abilities.
