Environmental activities conducted include, site investigation and delineation of an onsite PCE sources, upgradient TCE source investigation, remedial selection assessment, vapor intrusion investigation of onsite and downgradient buildings, manage a pilot test for a sub slab depressurization system in an offsite building, and install an interim sub slab depressurization system, and development of a full scale sub slab depressurization system. Manage remedial assessment study of ZVI, dehalococcoides, and electrical resistant heating (ERH). ERH was proven to meet the client’s goals and therefore it was selected. Provided oversight of the ERH system installation, operation and maintenance, and post remedial soil and groundwater sampling. Prepared and managed the project budget of $5.9 million, including the ERH equipment rental ($1.1 million) and electrical service contract ($1 million) Developed, tested and acquired NJDEP approval for an alternative electrode well abandonment technique that saved the client $650,000 in well abandonment cost.
