      As a volunteer who assesses the population of scrub jays at Rock Springs Run State Reserve, my main responsibilities include: • Conducting regular surveys of scrub jay populations at Rock Springs Run State Reserve • Recording observations of scrub jays, including number bands, behavior, and nesting activity • Identifying and mapping scrub jay territories • Assisting with research projects related to scrub jay populations and habitat • Keeping detailed records of all observations and data collected • Communicating with park staff and other volunteers about the status of scrub jay populations • Participating in any additional duties as needed • Helping with the conservation efforts of the reserve. As a volunteer working on the scrub jay project at Rock Springs Run State Reserve, I love being able to contribute to the conservation efforts of the reserve. I find it very rewarding to be able to help protect and study these beautiful birds and their habitat. Additionally, I love being out in nature and being able to observe and learn about the different wildlife and ecosystems at the reserve. I find it also very exciting to be able to contribute to scientific research, and to know that my observations and data are helping to inform conservation efforts. Show less

      As the president of the UCF Arboretum Beekeeping Club, my main responsibilities include: • Overseeing the overall operations and activities of the club • Coordinating meetings and events • Planning the use of the club's budget and resources • Communicating with members and other participants • Representing the club to external organizations and individuals, such as the university administration or interested companies • Fostering a positive and productive club culture • Promoting the club's mission and goals • Allowing all members to participate and contribute to the club's activities. As the president of the UCF Arboretum Beekeeping Club, I love being able to lead a group of individuals who share my passion for beekeeping and preserving our environment. It's very rewarding for me to be able to help create opportunities for members to learn about and engage in beekeeping, and to see the positive impact that our club's activities have on the community. Additionally, I love the opportunity to work with a diverse group of people, including students, faculty, and local beekeeping experts, and to learn from their different perspectives and experiences. I find it also very exciting to see the growth and development of the club members, both in terms of their beekeeping skills and their involvement in the club.
