Bachelor final project in the field of biomaterials: Develop of an electrospun biodegradable membrane to prevent post operative abdominal adhesions UMET-ISEP (http://umet.univ-lille1.fr/presentation.php?&lang=en) is a well-known laboratory at the north of France in the field of biomaterials which hosts 52 professors and assistant professors, 11 CNRS researchers, 20 technical and admin staff, 53 PhD students, and 9 researchers on temporary contracts or emeritus, accounting for a total of about 150 members. During my period of research internship there, I have been introduced in the world of laboratory research acquiring experience in organization, timing planning, strict methodology, and safety in laboratory environment which had improved exponentially some weakness in my career profile. I had the opportunity to interact which great professional researchers sharing different points of view and concerns about research and learning how to manage my career by listening their own life experience. I have carried out my bachelor final project in the electrospinning of polymeric nanofibers in order to produce an antiadherent and drug delivery membrane for prosthesis used in abdominal hernia repair. I value these experiences as an excellent way to put into practice a lot of knowledge I had learn in degree. It also allows me to introduce myself into the medical devices field getting notice of the medical devices market, enterprises and typical problems technicians has to deal with. However, what I most appreciate about this valuable experience is the chance to interact with medical devices costumers (health professionals) as well as the sales representative of medical enterprises. This gave me a broad view about concerns in health service, how to introduce and teach health professionals to new devices, deal with negative behaviors in a work team and understand the needs of your particular health service in order to choose the most accurate technology. I strong believe that this way of work which mixes routine office staff (giving you an strong stability) with the personal interactions (which requires creativity and emotional intelligence) gives the best of myself.
