In our graduating year at School of Mines and Technology we started competing with a business plan for an Engineering consulting firm geared towards using supercritical carbon dioxide as a solvent and then a carrier for extracting targeted molecules from material, primarily from plant matter. Our business plan won the SD Governors Giant Vision Business Plan Competition in 2016. I pulled together a realistic financial model for establishing our customer base and a realistic 5 year plan for modest growth while establishing a brand. My partner and I also identified several markets we could enter as a disrupting technology and several other expansion opportunities. This company did not make it out of infancy due to a desire to seek financial security. I was the Engineer for Business Operations and Manufacturing. Show less
