Bio
Richard Cooper, Ed.D.
A remarkable talent and dedicated individual, Eric brought so much depth to our team. I've had the great privilege of working with Eric over the past several years in many different capacities at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. I was highly impressed with his skill sets from project management, script development, writing ability, theater production skills to exhibit lighting. Eric was always willing to step up in a time of need for our museum. Eric would be a great addition to any team.

From the onset of working with Eric Vosmeier, I was immediately impressed with the dedication, industry, creativity, and passion he puts into every endeavor. Whether it’s building a new production, curating a festival, running a staff meeting, or even creating an Excel spreadsheet, he never goes half way. This indefatigable ability to marry care for detail and adherence to the larger picture, earned Eric a solid reputation as a much sought-after leader within Cincinnati’s arts community. His productions and events were frequently held up as examples of civic and artistic ingenuity. It was at Know Theatre of Cincinnati that Eric truly proved his mettle, not only as an artistic director, but also as an arts administrator with a strong vision for nurturing the local community. Three years into his tenure, Eric successfully oversaw the development of multiple initiatives designed to transform the organization’s resources into a virtual

After serving as Production Manager for "Leaves of Grass" at 14th Factory in May 2017, I now serve as Producer for Wilderness. Recent productions include "Our Country" at the Public Theatre's Under the Radar Festival, possible touring of "Leaves of Grass", and we are currently researching and developing "The System" which will be a year-long multi-part immersive noir experience. Founded in 2011 by Artistic Director Annie Saunders, the award-winning Wilderness works internationally to push the envelope of the traditional theatre-going experience. Inspired by disused, unexplored and uninhabited spaces, we create immersive, experiential and interdisciplinary theatrical events that disrupt the boundaries between observer and observed. We offer intimate live experiences in a variety of traditional and non-traditional spaces. Show less

Apr 2018 - Aug 2020
As Lead Producer, I collaborated with a diverse set of brands including: NBC Universal, FX (Comic Con 2019), Clif Bar (National Tour), AMC, and more to create immersive and interactive installations across the country. From San Diego Comic Con, to downtown Manhattan, to the peaks of Vail, Colorado, producing with OA and working with a diverse set of clients was a highlight. I proposed and lead a program pulling together an internal roster of some of the most adept immersive creators in the Los Angeles/New York regions. Hailing from the worlds of theatre, horror, theme parks, museums, escape rooms, and film, the "Immersive Core" featured talent who work across the globe. A stellar group of creators. Show less

The Museum of America was the album release party/experience for Thirty Seconds to Mars' latest release, America. This museum style walk-through featured exhibits dedicated to things like Power, Greed, Drugs, Sex, Free Speech, etc. With just two weeks from approval to opening, it was a bit of a crunch, especially when arranging an M1 Abrams tank that people could paint on, appearances by adult film stars, a Trump dunk tank, and more. This is without a doubt the most LA thing I've done. The Museum of America was the album release party/experience for Thirty Seconds to Mars' latest release, America. Aviron Pictures wanted an immersive, interactive experience to promote the Spring 2018 release of The Strangers: Prey at Night. Together with director Josh Randall, we took over at parking lot in Hollywood to created The Strangers Experience Hollywood. For 12 days, sold out audiences got a glimpse of the terror while being chased through a mobile home by the Man in the Mask, Dollface and Pinup before escaping through a secret exit in the closet. I scouted the location, acquired permits, arranged all aspects of the physical production, hired the production and administrative team, and managed the site. Show less
