Democratizing medical imaging by making it affordable and easier to access for patients I served as the lead developer, both architecting & developing the majority of our web app for offices to delegate their imaging referrals. The product supported hundreds of imaging referrals for over 20 customers. Some technical details: - Frontend built with React and Material UI component library - API backend was built using Django & GeoDjango extension to enable spatial database queries - Orchestrated a cloud environment consisting of AWS EC2 instances, RDS Postgres database, S3 buckets for blob storage & CloudFront for static content delivery. - Utilized Gitlab CI/CD for testing code, building Docker images and deploying to two cloud environments: staging and production. - Managed asynchronous workers by Huey backed by Redis. These workers supported long-running jobs like synchronizing state with third-party APIs and running OCR on incoming documents. In addition to a technical role, I helped guide the product direction and strategy by defining a metric review process and building relevant analytics dashboards. This process led to acquisition of 1 customer per week, tracking WAUs & churn, and early diagnosis of problematic patient experience. Show less

As the Founding Product Manager for the Infrastructure organization, my primary objective was to align Product and Infrastructure teams on objectives & processes. I collaborated with Infrastructure’s Engineering Managers to more effectively communicate infra’s value & core challenges to leadership in QBR through cohesive narrative and goal-setting via OKRs. Some projects included: - Leading a product group to standardize our incident response lifecycle through changes to a Slackbot, translating to increased completion rate of post-mortems. - Writing a PRD for GDPR compliance that articulated market sizing, implementation proposal, roadmap for incremental compliance, and go-to-market strategy. The simplest way to navigate and operate your microservices. Backed by Kleiner Perkins and Cowboy Ventures. As the Product Lead, I defined and implemented a Problem-Solution-Metrics framework to describe user problems, converge on potential solutions and assign business metrics to monitor. The framework allowed for a data-driven, iterative approach to addressing user problems.

One of my biggest projects enabled the end to end testing of our cloud architecture in a locally hosted Kubernetes cluster. This required containerizing Lambda function and Kinesis emulations, as well as writing a service to emulate triggering lambda functions on each write to a Kinesis stream. The project enabled the team to test key flows without having to deploy to our public staging environment! Some developer experience improvements included optimizing Docker images to allow for dynamic rebuilds in development based on code changes. This empowered more immediate feedback while writing code!On the backend, I created Go based grpc service for following entities, built with Gorm for schema management and backed with a Postgres database. On the frontend, I designed a mobile-first SPA using Vue with Vuetify for the design component and Auth0 with JWTs for client authentication. On the backend, I developed four microservices written in Go, using Gin web servers, & GORM for database abstraction. There was a client-facing API service exposes a GraphQL interface, built with gqlgen. The Infrastructure supported continuous development and deployment support with Skaffold and Helm3. Code changes trigger live updates to the cluster for rapid iteration during development (build, push, deploy for Go services and file copying for the Vue server). Show less

Software developer with many "roles" to meet the demands of a growing company. As a customer-facing engineer, I was responsible for: - on-premise deployments of Clinc software, including monitoring and up-time consultation - API and data integrations with private client systems - project planning from requirements gathering, feature scoping, and through software release As a development operations engineer, I was responsible for: - CI/CD release process for internal cloud deployments - built and maintained CI architecture, from how/what tests are run to runner administration - architected and developed services for reliability and performance (99.99% up-time & hardware accelerated services) - migrated internal cloud infrastructure to a managed Kubernetes cluster As a software developer, I was responsible for: - the response generation "personality" framework, enabling different template usage per demographic and device - development of Django APIs and database models - migration of endpoints to GraphQL Show less
