Eric, who concentrates on the commercial and life sciences markets, plays a critical role in the success of SGA’s most complex projects. Although he is involved in every project phase, his specialty is construction documentation and construction administration. He is committed to maintaining design excellence through the construction process to reality, working with owners and consultants to solve the most challenging problems, and fostering close-knit relationships with all project team members. Each effort is focused on adding value to the completed project.

Eric Svahn specializes in major institutional buildings including corporate headquarters, academic and student life facilities, cultural destinations and leads the firm's multifamily housing group. He recently managed the new corporate headquarters for Service Credit Union in Portsmouth, New Hampshire that is projected for LEED Gold certification. His other recent experience includes South Franklin Circle, the new award-winning active adult retirement community in Northeast Ohio. Eric is currently managing the new Education Center, Conservatory and Planetarium for the Arboretum at Penn State. He has been an active contributor to the firm’s cultural projects, including the Cleveland Botanical Garden and Cheekwood Museum of Art and Botanical Garden. Eric managed the LEED certification process for the award-winning National Association of Realtors Building in Washington, D.C.Eric joined GUND Partnership in 1996 and leads the firm’s Green Advisory Group. In this role he organizes in-house educational opportunities that promote the use of sustainable materials and green design strategies in GUND projects. Eric received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the Syracuse University School of Architecture. He is a registered architect in Massachusetts.
