  The Postbaccalaureate Research Education Program (PREP), is a NIH-funded initiative to increase diversity in graduate biomedical sciences. The year-long program provides stipend and tuition support for underrepresented students interested in pursuing a research doctorate. While in the program, students are expected to work full time in a research lab, take one graduate level course a semester, and participate in a weekly 1-hour internal science writing and professional development course.
