Lead the corporate strategy, operations and portfolio management of Guardian Asset Management, a subsidiary of the GHL group, with assets under management in excess of $6 billion TT, Responsible for: βThe development of strategic plans, including identifying target markets and providing financial projections to support the business case in these markets. βFormulating and developing the management structure, overseeing the day-to-day management of the corporation. βSupervising the production of annual budgets and ensuring that financial targets are met. βLeading the group Risk Management committee and the establishment of a Private Banking and Institutional offer. The portfolio of the corporation was composed of institutional, Private Wealth and Retail funds, loans and mortgages. Ten mutual funds were launched from 2006 to 2007, adding over $1 billion TT to total assets under management. In 2006 Guardian Asset Management managed the top 3 performing funds in the country, and 90% of the funds outperformed their benchmarks. Member of the Executive Management Committee of Guardian Asset Managementβs parent company, GHL, a Trinidad and Tobago listed corporation.
