I have been in the dual role of Behavior Specialist/Consultant and Mobile Therapist since March of 2010 and have worked with over 35 families in the Chester and Montgomery County areas to assist families, schools, daycare centers, and most importantly the children to develop a workable, reasonable plan to address and prevent disruptive behavior disorders. My experience is in drafting a collaborative treatment plan with all who are involved in the child's life, as well as overseeing the implementation on a regular basis in order to give helpful feedback. I have thoroughly loved my work with these cases as each child is a puzzle or mystery to me just waiting to be solved!

As a Bachelor's Level Therapeutic Staff Support (TSS), I worked primarily in schools to assist clients with accessing their elementary-level curricula despite behavioral and emotional barriers. I collaborated closely with Behavior Specialists in order to tailor and implement client-specific interventions, making sure to keep client strengths and interests foremost in my mind. I also have experience working with non-verbal clients and children who needed assistance in the home with familial relationships and effective use of leisure time. This was truly a valuable experience and one that has inspired me to stay in the Behavioral Health Rehabilitative Services field as a Master's Level Clinician.
