Co-architect, with Dr. John Kriekard, for implementing the seminal Rural & Remote Initiative for Arizona K-12. Grant written to improve science and math performance across the board in identified school districts throughout Arizona. As the POC lead for all school district Superintendents, Principals, Assistant Principals and Science&Math teachers spanning 16 districts in Northern AZ, I presented the grant initiative, timing, deliverables, measurements, and monetary commitment to all leveled stakeholders while maintaining complete discretion, privacy, and reporting to SFAZ leadership and grant donors. Each teacher in math/science would receive up to $10K for math & science labs and equipment, additionally each teacher would receive up to $100 in gift cards for classroom supplies, additional tutoring in applying for grant opportunities, grants from local organizations to National Science Foundation, and lastly SFAZ would provide all resources for teacher professional development for the three year duration of the grant. My position was additionally expected to reconcile all receipts with gift cards and equipment purchases, ensure equipment purchases were appropriate for grant goals, coordinate across all districts for mass purchasing power, maintain all reporting for stakeholders, school boards, SFAZ leadership and donors. Finally, the position would distribute and collect all performance data points for SFAZ analytics team and compare across individuals, grades, buildings, and districts performing to AZ-state testing standards. The seminal Rural &Remote Initiative was a $15 million dollar grant project over three years, and designed to reach 385,000 kids and 1500 teachers. One AZ Middle School was developed into an aviation academy and continues today. Show less
