Performed day worker duties on a 1,500-ton aluminum catamaran Expeditionary Fast Transport (EPF), supporting four MTU 20V8000 M71L diesel engines with four separate reduction gears and waterjets, and four Isotta Fraschini Motori V1312C2ME diesel generators. Monitored the operation of engineering machinery, equipment and spaces, responded to emergency alarms, entered data in logs, and reported special events such as oil transfers as a watch stander while underway. Assisted in the Final Certification Trials period (FCT's) in which all equipment was started and tested. Oversaw the operation of fire and emergency equipment during this time. Show less
