In the thirteen years I have known Eric, I have found him to be a thoughtful, approachable leader and colleague. He was devoted to the mission of our organization to improve the lives of people with disabilities, and held high standards of quality for himself and for those around him. Eric enjoys an excellent reputation as a skilled management professional with a keen business acumen and a thorough understanding of program management strategies. He has proven himself to be a strong negotiator, with a particular talent for collaboration. I would not hesitate to recommend Eric as a leader of the highest caliber.

I reported directly to Eric when he was the Chief Operating Officer for UCP/PROVAIL. He was a pleasure to work with, and I learned a lot from the experience. Eric was very approachable; I never saw him turn away a staff or client who needed advice or support. He was direct with staff and give necessary feedback to improve their performance -- and in doing so, created genuine and honest relationships. He provided a level of transparency to financial details that was helpful in managing the department that I worked in at the time. In day to day work, he was both policy-oriented but more importantly, willing to be flexible where the situation demanded a different response than just following a policy. Overall, I was most impressed with his dedication to improving the lives of individuals with disabilities. He took that task seriously and the mission of the agency guided his decision-making process. I would recommend Eric both as an employee and as an individual to any group or organization. He is a confident, experienced, and compassionate individual who leads with both his heart and his head.
