I worked for a non-emergency medical transport company. My main duties were to transport patients from local hospitals to skilled nursing facilities around the area. During this transport my job was to ensure their safety and to keep them comfortable during the ride. I would transport them via wheelchair and gurney. I also facilitated training new employees on how to transport patients safely and effectively. My duties included working with patients with dementia, Alzheimer's and who were on hospice. It was also my job duty to transport patient medications, belongings as well as confidential medical records. I drove the vehicles and maintain their cleanliness as well as making sure the vehicles had all the necessary supplies.
