  During my time at the Telegraph-Journal, my job was to pitch original story ideas about the Saint John and New Brunswick community that would resonate with viewers on a daily basis. Working through those ideas, I learned the skills of interviewing and reporting, dovetailed with excellent writing to create stories that interested readers across the province. After working for several months, I was tasked with writing a weekly business column, profiling a new business in the Saint John area each week.
