During my graduation project at Philips, I developed a focused ultrasound stimulation (FUS) experimental setup, alongside performing numerous electrophysiological experiments. Additionally, I designed lithography masks and conducted experiments for the fabrication of low frequency Capacitive Micromachined Ultrasound Transducers (cMUT). Conducted all non-behavioural procedures in a study with the goal of identification of brain regions associated with que-induced relapse to nicotine self-administration in rats. This included cryosectioning 12 rat brains, immunohistochemical staining, microscopic photography, data collection through image analysis and eventually analysing said data. I reported on my work in the form of a research paper, which is attached below. All this was done under the supervision of N.J. Marchant and prof. dr. T.J. de Vries. Show less
