As an Organ Donation Coordinator, I managed the organ donation process. I worked with donor families while they made the decision to donate their loved ones organs. I also worked with a multi-disciplinary team to medically manage the organ donor. This process involved time spent at the bedside in the ICU as well as in the OR facilitating communication between multiple transplant teams.
