Jane Wales
Eric Boehm first joined the Aspen Institute’s Program on Philanthropy and Social Innovation to manage our finances, including a regranting program and multiple grant-supported initiatives. He quickly became known as the go-to guy on financial matters for colleagues throughout the Institute. While his reputation as an outstanding financial manager was well-founded, Eric’s interest and talents went beyond. Eager to take on more, Eric tried his hand at program management, and soon led our Program for Nonprofit Leaders, working with a committee to select the candidates and assure a successful peer learning experience. By the time Eric left us to move his family to New England, he had played a role in most of what we do, adding value to everything he touched, all the while paying careful attention to the job he came to do. Any organization would be lucky to have him on the team. Jane Wales

Eric and I worked together for several years at the Aspen Institute. He has the rare combination of accounting expertise along with program management skills and experience. His deep knowledge of accounting was a tremendous asset to our department. He managed all finance and budgeting processes and worked closely with colleagues in the Accounting department to ensure accuracy of financial statements and compliance with all grants and contracts. He also managed key programmatic efforts, such as a competitive fellowship for emerging nonprofit leaders, and supported a range of events and convenings that engaged social sector actors. Our small team benefitted greatly from his broad skillset.
