Had first time exposure to the practical side of the law in the sense of drafting legal documents. I was given the opportunity to work under 2 prominent lawyers, Haniff Khatri and Zainur Zakaria in drafting the written submission on the Federal Court case of Sisters in Islam (SIS) Forum (Malaysia) v Kerajaan Negeri Selangor. Easiest job I had ever done in my whole life. You just had to register details of applicants on a website. Pay was good and environment was comfortable. This is the life of the average office bearer. No wonder some of them get disengaged with the reality of people who hustle in service based job just for the minimum wage (ie: fast food chains, factory workers) Easiest job I had ever done in my whole life. The most taxing job on my physique. You had to stand for a total of 12 hours with a 1 hour gap for break. You had to sort thousands of parcels everyday of different size and weight. The pay was RM100 per day the most I had ever had for a daily pay hence why I maintained working as I needed the money to buy a laptop for online classes. The most taxing job on my physique. My first ever permanent full-time job. There was clear discrimination in this job as it preferred people from certain races. However the pay was good so I continued to work hard there so I could buy my own motorcycle. My first ever permanent full-time job. Worked hard at Pizza hut just to earn a non-dignified wage of RM5 (1.2 USD) per hour. Taught me a lot about working hard and to appreciate the working class. It ignited the fire in me to fight for a dignified and livable minimum wage among the commons. Hopefully we can reach that goal. My first time ever at a permanent part-time job. It was quite easy but I had to quit due to pressure from my circle as beers were sold at the shop.
