Camino Capital is an experienced advisor providing independent investment supervision.Camino seeks to add value in the areas of: 1. Costs: Investors often incur many hidden costs when their wealth is professionally managed. These costs have a very significant bearing on investment performance in the long term. 2. Tax: In many cases the tax implications of various investment strategies are only considered after the fact. Camino works with the clients’ tax advisors to understand the clients tax profile to ensure that investment returns are viewed net of taxes (and not gross!).3. Risk: Understanding risk across the full spectrum of a client’s investment portfolio, especially when multiple wealth managers are employed, is essential to successful long term investment returns. Camino measures clients’ exposures in aggregate.4. Behaviour: Investors are prone to make changes in response to negative market movements. Camino works with clients to focus on long term plans and to keep changes to a minimum. Inaction is not the same thing as inertia!5. Education: Camino develops long term relationships with multiple family members so that more than one person is familiar with the families wealth.Camino does not• Manage client funds• Make specific investment recommendations• Have access to client funds• Receive any reward, commission or remuneration from investment providers Camino’s fees are fixed and in most cases are significantly less than cost savings.

Shelbourne Markets (previously known as MarketSpreads) was Ireland's largest independent financial spread trading firm. Shelbourne allowed its clients (of which there are were 2,000) to trade equities, indices, exchange-traded funds, currencies, commodities, precious metals, bonds, foreign exchange and interest rates with various financial instruments from a single trading platform. I took over after the firm had had its license suspended and refocused the company before successfully selling the business to ETX in 2014.

Merrion was Ireland's leading independent research house. I was involved from the founding of the business to its eventual sale (and subsequent buyback. Merrion's Institutional Equities business encompassed trading, research and sales to a range of financial institutions. Merrion also operated a boutique corporate finance business and a wealth management business. As well as being a main board director and senior shareholder, I led the sales, execution and research functions. I developed relationships with global fund managers by providing the best research led money making ideas in the Irish market. During my time, we were regularly voted the leading research house and leading sales service.
