  • Financial reporting: Prepare and submit accurate draft financial statements management reports by the last day of the following month after year end. • General ledger review: Ensure that all transactions processed at the company are correctly posted in the general ledger and any corrections are promptly done. • Management reporting: Prepare and submit accurate management reports before 10th day of the following month. • Purchases/ Payables: review purchase orders raised at by the subsidiary company, ensure value for money on all purchases done by the subsidiary company, enforce of internal control procedures on all requisitions done at the subsidiary company, reconcile supplier accounts to supplier statements, ensure all payments are timely and accurately booked in the general ledger, ensure all processed payment vouchers are safely filed. • Receivables management: Ensure accurate and timely invoicing, reconcile customer accounts, dispatch customer statements, ensure prompt collection of cash from customers, respond to customer queries regarding any balances in their accounts, attend debtors’ meetings and respond to any queries raised in the meeting, ensure any action points agreed upon the debtors meeting are promptly executed. • Treasury management: Ensure optimal cash levels are maintained at all time • Tax compliance/Statutory Returns: Ensure compliance to all applicable taxes for all transactions done at the subsidiary • Budgeting and cost control • Fixed Assets Management: Updating fixed asset register with additions and disposals and reconcile with general ledger • Inventory management: enforce all internal control procedures relating to the inventory held by the subsidiary company • Internal and external audits: Provide any supporting schedules that may be requested for by both the internal and external auditors, Respond to internal and external audit queries promptly • Custodian of internal controls at the subsidiary Show less
