Assigned to a production line and tasked with handling all matters pertaining to that line. Train personnel on how to operate the equipment and assist in trouble shooting production issues. Educate line personnel on how to troubleshoot problems and teach them what needs to be done to correct the issue. Identify areas on the line that need improvement and initiate projects to address issues. Regularly work with maintenance team, other engineers within the plant, and outside vendors to implement solutions. Initiate projects to reduce variation in the production process to make product as consistent as possible. Assist with trials of new materials and help develop run parameters for future production runs. Analyze production runs and determine ways to make every product more efficiently to increase profitability. Continually monitor run conditions and make adjustments to product directives to ensure a smooth run.

Use tools such as histograms, Pareto charts, data analysis to identify improvement opportunities.
