My area of responsibility was in quality control and its development. It was a clear opportunity to show one's abilities, because the work was very self-directed and there was a lot of responsibility. Hard work in developing the quality control paid off and the system was finally certified according to FSSC22000 standards. The quality manager's work naturally included maintaining the quality system with audits and regular cooperation with food control authorities and stakeholders. Through contact material management, packaging labels, nutrient calculation and migration tests became familiar. The legislative perspective was also constantly present in the work. The work was rewarding and I gained a lot of practical experience in the hygiene requirements of food production and their impact on food safety.
