I met Emmanuel for the first time as a volunteer who wanted to teach computer science in a Title 1 school, with some co-workers from Facebook. I was really impressed by the material he had put together to link math and computer science so students could understand the link between the 2 subjects. Since then, I continued to teach Bootstrap in many places (even India) and have seen the progression of the curricula. Emmanuel is an amazing coach, excellent pedagoge and trainer. His dedication on blending computer science with other content areas (math and beyond) makes his material relevant for student. He focuses on building a community of teachers so they can exchange tips and help each other. His commitment to the broader field of CS Education has been illustrated by numerous postings on the social sites, networking with people in the industry and organizing event, more specifically a Professional Development week in Colorado for 3 different tracks (CSPdWeek) His trainings are well organized and he led one of the most amazing Professional Development Event for teachers during Summer 2016. He is always open to advice, excellent listener and works well with others. He is very active for the teacher, believes strongly in the cause that Algebra can be taught effectively with the right curricula.

Over the past year+ I worked with Emmanuel on planning and implementing CSPd Week--one of the largest CS professional development events to date. Throughout the planning and implementation of this event involving three different programs, Emmanuel was the person who kept us all on course--coordinating multiple teams in various organizations, troubleshooting, and marketing. Emmanuel's passion was contagious and his commitment to equity was evident in every move he made. Emmanuel truly understands the definition of team effort and was wonderful to work with at every step along the way.
