Head Volleyball Coach of 7C, 8E Volleyball GPS Teams | Assistant Coach of 10A Volleyball GPS Team (2022-2023)Head Volleyball Coach of 9B Volleyball GPS Team (2023-2024)My role as both an assistant and head coach of several Churchie volleyball teams has provided me with skills that can be transferred to any professional environment. Coaching has provided me with the opportunity to improve my leadership, teamwork, and communication, especially with younger individuals, which are not only necessary skills in a sporting environment, but also further develops my skill of collaborating with medical teams and communicating with patients as an aspiring cardiothoracic surgeon. Furthermore, coaching has improved my capacity to remain calm and controlled when under pressure and in stressful situations, in addition to honing my quick decision-making, which are all abilities that are crucial in both medical and sporting disciplines. • Private Tutor
      • 2022 - Present

From the beginning of last year, I have had the opportunity to work closely with over 15 students from Grade 7-12. I have helped them directly through tutoring them in varying subjects including, mathematics, science, literature, engineering, humanities and Japanese, and indirectly through helping them structure and organise their academic routine. By creatively constructing lesson plans, and continually progress tracking my students, I have aided myself in the long run as an aspiring doctor, helping me to efficiently construct and manage patient care and treatments. These individualised learning experiences have also equipped me with many valuable skills like the ability to adapt my teaching to unique learning conditions and styles, and the ability to deliver coherent feedback, which reflects the skillset required of a medical practitioner communication with patients and families. Furthermore, tutoring has improved my patience, which is an integral part of clinical work, allowing me to greater support my patients' wishes. Show less

In early 2023, I was employed St Andrew’s War Memorial hospital as a theatre orderly. This role has helped me gain first-hand experience surrounding patient communication and care, clinical medical knowledge, teamwork and communication between colleagues, and an enhanced general understanding of the hospital and healthcare system. This experience has further excited my desire to work in and advance healthcare in Australia. In early 2023, I was employed St Andrew’s War Memorial hospital as a theatre orderly. Whilst my experience at New Farm Bowl’s club differs from my other experiences in the areas of science, medicine and academia, it still provided me with necessary skills that can be transferred to healthcare. As a bartender, I am responsible for the service of alcohol, which relies on key judgment and observation to make an informed decision, which is necessary in medicine. Additionally, I must constantly be proactive in monitoring peoples’ behaviour, preventing any issue before one arises, which will assist me in diagnosing potential illnesses by reminding myself to be astute with my observations and to fully consider every detail, regardless of how severe. Whilst my experience at McDonald’s differs to my other experiences in the areas of science, medicine and academia, it still provided me with necessary skills that can be transferred to healthcare. As a crew member, I was required to develop my teamwork to synergise with colleagues to ensure all tasks were completed to a high standard and quickly. Later, as a crew trainer my responsibility shifted to help guide and train the new members, in not only their physical responsibilities, but also keeping them motivated and ensuring they felt safe and always respected. Additionally, the mass lunch rushes have provided me with firsthand experience on how to better manage my time and delicate tasks to meet the demands of a team, whilst also educating me on effective resource management – which are all applicable to the interdisciplinary field of healthcare.
