➢ Responsible for spearheading and building A.M. Best’s insurance-linked securities/structures rating business as well as creating criteria for rating specialized insurance/carriers. ➢ Conducted the first and subsequent long-term insurance company impairment studies by A.M. Best which included over 5,000 insurance company ratings and is the basis for Best’s Idealized Issue and Issuer Default Matrices used for rating notes in insurance-linked securities/structures transactions. ➢ Developed models for various insurance-linked securities transactions based on credit and/or mortality risk using the Monte Carlo simulation method.➢ Spearheaded the writing of the first rating agency methodology addressing risk charges associated with Freddie Mac's and Fannie Mae's reinsurance credit risk transfer programs (ACIS/CIRT). ➢ Modeled and rated the first and only rated securitization collateralized exclusively by life insurance policies ($8.4 billion of life settlements) and structured by AIG.➢ Modeled and rated the first life-contingent structured settlement securitization.➢ Rated other transactions such as: catastrophe bonds, sidecars, period-certain structured settlements, disability insurance securitizations, insurance collateralized debt obligations, and other insurance-linked transactions. ➢ Responsible for complying with the Securities and Exchange Commission rules such as 17g-5 and 17g-7 related to asset-backed securities pursuant to the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act.➢ Responsible for calculating A.M. Best’s ratings performance statistics for the Securities and Exchange Commission.➢ Gave presentations on insurance-linked securities at A.M. Best’s Insurance briefings in Europe, A.M. Best’s Review/Preview conferences in the United States, and at numerous industry conferences. Show less
