  I have project managed the installation of over 15 MegaWatts of Solar Power Systems primarily in the utility scale market. My duties include procurement, bidding and estimating, safety protocol management, quality assurance and quality control checks, substantial and final completion verification and human resource management. It has been very interesting observing industry market trends as well as political influences on the expanding solar market. I foresee a number of niche markets that will develop as a result of this growth.

  A good foreman is not only a skilled tradesman but is a good organizer, a leader by example, and a good communicator to people of different levels of skill. I found that keeping a positive attitude as a leader is as demanding as it is rewarding in terms of workplace morale and work output. Being able to make prompt, educated decisions... and taking the responsiblity for them, earns you the respect of fellow trades and contractors. Remember, the Golden Rule applies in all things!
