The IAH's main vocation is to promote the exchange of knowledge and experience within the community of hydrogeologists, in France as well as in the world, as well as between them and the specialists of the related branches of water and earth sciences, and of water techniques. It also aims to promote the role of hydrogeologists and the place of groundwater in the development and sustainable management and protection of water resources. Show less

Saulaines Dhuys, France I worked mainly at Andra on the hydrogeological understanding of the Aube and Manche storage centers. For that, I realized the following tasks - modelling of surface flows using Surfer tools, - realization of the piezometric maps, - inspection of the maintenance of the piezometric network, - measurement of flows, - water sampling - topographic survey etc. - analysis of the geological sections of the BSS Finally, I have written a procedure for calculating the surface area… Show more I worked mainly at Andra on the hydrogeological understanding of the Aube and Manche storage centers. It is in this context that the University of Poitiers was asked to join the CPGF-Horizon team for the campaign of flow and piezometric measurements. Thus, the various tasks carried out are: - location of the piezometers, - mapping of the new piezometers on the existing map, - piezometric measurements, - analysis of the geological and hydrogeological context, - data processing - bibliography, - technical report. The result has allowed to explain the relationship between water tables and rivers to reach a better understanding of the hydrological and hydrogeological functioning of the Clain basin. Show less

Poitiers, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France The general theme of the HydrASA team (Hydrogeology, Clays, Soils, Alterations) is the understanding and modeling of transfers in reactive geosystems. The scientific objective of the team is the study of multi-scale transfers in surface and subsurface geosystems. I joined the HydrASA team as a research assistant to work on the identification of preferential groundwater exploration zones in hard rock aquifers.
