      • Oct 2017 - Apr 2020

I started working at Travelex, Glasgow Airport early October 2017. My duties included: changing customers money over to the currency they needed, taking customers details, including email and personal information, selling travel cards and other products. We also did airline banking's, and retailer banking's. We had to have good cash management, as we have lots of different currencies under our control. We also helped passengers who needed help within the airport. At Travelex, the start time was as early as 345am and finished as late as 0030. I drive, so commuting to work isn't a problem.I also have an airport pass, which I needed to go air-side. Show less

I also did a fleet check everyday, this involved checking cars we had in the car park against a report and any missing had to be investigated. Show less

This involved meeting you team at Glasgow Central at 9am and then getting the train to where we were based that day. Once we got to sight we were to stop and ask people if they wanted to sign up to be a regular donor. Many people said no, and some wouldn’t even stop. But the ones that did stop, it was out job to inspire them to want to sign up as a regular donor. I was only in this job a few weeks as it really wasn’t for me. I left because I didn't feel comfortable stopping people in the street and on a few occasions, didn’t feel safe. Show less
